Hi again!
Strangely long hiatus, I guess because I have fallen off the wagon! Though I have not plummeted deeper into debt, I have hit a few road bumps. The budget may have been a bit idealistic considering that I have never adhered to one...but as the old adage goes - if at first you don't succeed, try try again.
So this is my second try because the first failed ;)
Here are the updates in the world of me -
In honor of the holiday, I did what any shopaholic would and ventured to the outlet mall. I first went to Macy's and did not buy...ANYTHING! That is a small but still substantial victory for me :)
Back to the outlets. This weekend I went to the camarillo outlets. This may have been irresponsible of me considering my...history...but regardless I went. While there, I found the object of my desire. In order to explain what this purchase was for, and to rationalize it to myself, I should begin with this statement: I am a stalker. Not a stalker per se, but rather a shoe stalker. I see a pair in a magazine or online and then take to religiously seeking out a pair at a price point that I can afford (afford?).
Having said that, I have been shoe stalking a pair of g.zanotti shoes for a LONGGGGG time. As I perused the clearance section of Saks, I found them...in my size!!!!!!!!!! So I will post a picture soon because they are beautiful and worth every penny!!! Once I found out they were half off of the marked price, I knew I had to get them! As I told my conscience, "skrew you, I am getting them!"
I will be getting back on track starting today! Happy Independence day, and let it be remembered as my independence day from debt.
p.s. I did make a great deal of progress, I actually paid off one of my credit cards. Goodbye 30% APR monster, I will not miss you. And please try not to freak out as I take my scissors to you soon.
